That looks better than the mexican pizzas I made. Mine rocked though. My friend sent me a recpe yesterday for loaded baked potato chip nachos. Yes, try to wrap your head around that, it took me a minute. She put very crunchy kettle potato chips and then covered them with mashed potatoes, cheese, bacon, scallions and sour cream. What do I say to that?? You forgot the butter, dummy.
Beets: Roast them in a 400 degree oven for an hour and then slip the skins off. Put arugula, sliced oranges or tangerines, the sliced beets and goat cheese together and you will be very happy.
Yams: Heat corn and/or peanut oil in a big heavy pot to 350-375 degrees. Peel the potatoes and cut them into sticks. Fry them. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle liberally with good salt. Sweet potato fries, bitches.
If you need more, I'm here for you.

Oh I forgot to dress that salad for you. Basil oil and lemon juice would be lovely. Salt and pepper are obvious I hope.
OMG what a day to be stuck in meetings all day!!! My very own blog post!! I feel so honored. Both look absolutely amazing and will be tried in the next week or so, I will let you know how it goes. I appreciate you keeping it simple for me, you know multiple steps and attention to detail aren't exactly my strong suit. I love it!
So for the super bowl I have decided to make a healthy-ish version of my #1 favorite food--chicken tenders with ranch and honey mustard. I really should have been born poor in the south (not really). Any suggestions as to a better sauce than those?
I hate honey mustrd, I would probably go with ranch and Franks red hot if it were me. People tend to like blue cheese dressing with chicken and hot sauce, though it's not my favorite.
Yes, I was sad when we had to throw away our last bottle of Frank's, seems like a good time to buy another. I agree with the bleu cheese call too--I like the cheese plenty, but the sauce isn't my favorite. What was this honey butter hot sauce you spoke of one time though?
That would be melted butter with honey and hot sauce. Heavy on the butter, light on the honey. Btw, I made the sweet potato fries tonight. Holy delicious. Make sure you let the oil get to a full 375 before you put the tatos in cause it drops a lot. And salt very liberally while they are still incredibly hot. You wont be sorry. These would also go nicely with ranch and franks. Really, what doesn't. I just eat them plain though. Like my burger. Which incidentally tonight was topped with pickles, pickled jalapenos, tomatoes and white cheddar cheese. Delish.
mmmmm, I always bake my sweet potato fries (no fry daddy over here), and they leave a bit to be desired. Aka, oil and crispiness. But the franks and ranch sound fabulous either way. I had indian food with my dad last night, who insisted on talking about food borne illness the whole time. There really is no such thing as a free dinner.
