100 is a lot of fucking foods. I didn't want lessen the integrity of the list just to try to hit a number. I feel that every one of the items on this list will make you a happier person for having eaten it, at least for a minute. Please, please leave comments, email me, ichat me, favorite foods is my favorite topic and I can't wait to hear what you all have to say. You can copy and paste the list and bold all the ones you've had and/or make comments or just comment on particular items, whatever you like, but let's hear it. Also, please feel free to print this list and spend as long as necessary hunting all of the items down and eating them until you're done. Maybe I should do that. Maybe I will. Please note, this list is in no particular order, except for maybe the first one. Hot lobster rolls are the number one best food in the world, it's not debatable.

Ponzu sauce is not fishy!!!! Not even a little! It's so good, you would love it.
but it's made with the fish. I try to keep away from the fish when possible.
I don't have the patience to go through and bold right now (just wait until I get back to work tomorrow....then I will have plenty of time), but I do have some additions for me anyway--cosmic cantina burrito (NC only, NYC doesn't do it justice), fried snickers, homemade ice cream sandwiches with mint chocolate chip ice cream that you are patient enough to let all freeze together, really good chicken fingers with ranch dressing, a primani bros style sandwich with the french fries on it, your fruit salad, a grapefruit margarita, (you are involved in a lot of these, and it's not just because this is your blog), pumpkin cheesecake, warmed up potato bread, a jumbo slice of pizza post 3am in adams morgan, a mixed bag of sour patch kids and reeces pieces....that's all I got off the top of my head right now. But I love this game, to be continued!
no shelley, it is not made from fish. it's soy sauce and citrus and stuff
Yeah, it's what you dip tempura into. I am an oceanophobe too, and VERY sensitive to food with even a slightly fishy/seafoody quality. Ponzu sace is great!
From the world of wikipedia:
Ponzu is made by boiling mirin, rice vinegar, katsuobushi flakes, and seaweed (konbu) over medium heat.
Katsuobushi = Bonito = fish
Im not saying it's fishy Im just saying it's made with a bit of fish. And I've eaten it now and again but because when I joined the club of vegetarians they made me take an oath on a block of tofu I try to not eat it.
It's right up there when they ruin my shishito peppers by putting dried dead fish all over them.
Damn them for that!!!!
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. ESPECIALLY Wikipedia. Don't you know who writes that stuff? Everyone! What do they know. If ponzu was made from BOILING mirin, rice vinegar, fish and seaweed, I doubt it would have made my list. Give me a little credit. It's good because it's salty and acidic. Hello?
Ponzu sauce
Ingredients:
* 1/3 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup lemon juice
* 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
* 1/3 cup dashi
Preparation:
Prepare dashi stock. Mix soy sauce, lemon juice, vinegar, and dashi in a bowl.
*Makes 1 cup.
Yes, I knwo what you're going to say, but dashi does not have to have fish flakes in it. It can be just seaweed. Seaweed=yum btw.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashi
Okay, I will eat ponzu sauce at your house made with the seaweed dashi.
Compromise.
When?
October
