So I got it and fed it and gave it water a few times and it was all ready to go so I used it to make the recipe that got me inspired to have a sourdough starter in the first place! Sourdough lemon blackberry cake. It wasn't as exciting as real sourdough bread but I didn't have time for that because that takes long and I had to do it after work. But it was yummy (if you like sweetish things, I don't think I do really anymore. Woah!!) and very, very pretty.
Oh yeah, the sourdough starter I made my own self from scratch may still be kicking we'll have to see. I tried to make bread from it and it was a very delicious hockey puck. At least the delicious part is encouraging.

I knew my stinkiness would hold me back one day!! Demoted to just "a bf" not, "my bff." :( Every since you wrote about the sourdough baby I have been craving sourdough bread every day. I even got it twice at whole foods, they make a tasty little sourdough roll. And how I wish I was still coming this weekend--Lobster AND sourdough!!
I know, Sugie, so sad! How dumb is it to make lobster for 4 people, 2 of whom will not eat lobster. Pretty dumb. Of those 2.
EXTREMELY dumb of those two, and very fortunate for you two wise souls who will be having two lobster rolls per person while the weirdos enjoy their hot dogs while dodging sea gulls and trying to steal your yellow potato chip bag. Can we make sure to do a real abbotts trip next summer? I just got nostalgic. And hungry!
Costellos!!
Costellos it is! If I could post I would....
"The end of an era: Goodbye Scrabulous.com"
Thank you, makers of scrabulous, for helping me hone another useless skill. When my dementia is delayed for a few years as an old lady, my dedication will have been worth it. From all of those with boring jobs, I thank you.
This blogging stuff is harder than it looks. hat's off to you zozy.
There's no apostrophe in hats, Sugie. My mom asked me to tell you that ;)
